Author: jennifer LaFrance

Lisa LaFrance, the Founder and CEO of LAFRANCE PROJECT, based in WPB, focuses on local philanthropy. Her passion is matching funders with nonprofits, brainstorming capacity-building strategies, and fostering trust across community stakeholders. A former Investment Manager and past President of Impact the Palm Beaches, she challenges outdated practices in the nonprofit sector, advocating for transparency, and authenticity, and creating deeper donor engagement. “I want to inspire and encourage everyone to find true happiness, not through the pursuit of limitless material wealth, but through the purpose and passion that comes from helping others.” Jennifer LaFrance, is from Royal Palm Beach and, like her sister Lisa LaFrance. is dedicated to philanthropy and assisting nonprofits. While working hand in hand with her sister, she is dedicated to redefining the way we think about volunteering and the term philanthropy. Philanthropy is all about kindness and helping others. Jennifer’s professional career was dedicated to helping other people in one fashion or another. She started her career as a social worker and then became an E911 Police, Fire and Ambulance Dispatcher. She was working as the Senior Paralegal in a Family Law Practice, when life through her a few curveballs. She moved to Palm Beach County in late 2022 and immediately became one of the Community Captains for the Wellington Neighborhood of Impact the Palm Beaches. Finding a renewed energy, she is currently putting that energy into the LaFrance Project assisting her sister and promoting her ideas as well as her own. " I want people to know that philanthropy is not just for the wealthy! Collective giving and volunteering your time is another way to get involved and give back. Every kindness that is offered makes a difference is someone's life. It's like the butterfly effect, you never know what small kindness, will have a drastic effect somewhere else, so let's all be butterflies"
