WinterFest with Vanilla Ice 2011 a Smashing Success
The Wellington Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce another smashing success! WinterFest with Vanilla Ice 2011 drew record breaking crowds and thrilled the audience with the best of performers, emcees and many surprises!
Presented by The International Polo Club Palm Beach, The Wellington Chamber of Commerce and The City of Wellington provided a line up of holiday performances, a visit from Santa and SNOW! Local celebrity musical sensation, philanthropist and DIY Network television star (Emmy Award Nominated) “Vanilla Ice” performed his iconic “Ice Ice Baby” to a sold out crowd. Our very own Incoming President and Presenting Sponsor, Mr. John Wash was a hit on stage providing the audience with many laughs and holiday cheer. Several local dignitaries including Mayor Darell Bowen, News Channel 5 Anchor Roxanne Stein and Chamber President Michael Stone kicked off this time-honored event as well as the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Chaired by Dr. Randy Laurich of the Wellness Experience and Victor Connor of the Connor Financial Group, this event is the most anticipated holiday event of the season. Their exceptional hard work and dedication to this event allow us to celebrate its success. Dr. Laurich and Mr. Connor believe bringing a “hometown’ element to WinterFest is what makes it so successful. Family friendly events such as a reading of the “Twas the Night Before Christmas by Mayor Bowen, a visit from Santa, courtesy of the Alzheimer’s Association Southeast Florida Chapter and a salute to the troops allow participation from the children and the families and make everyone an intrical part of the festivities. A very special thank you to our board member Dr. Blake Kendall and Howard Fabian of the NFL Alumni Assoication fo the most generous donation of pillow pets for local children!
