About the Wellington Chamber of Commerce

As the advocate for the business community, the Chamber is proud to be a vital part of Wellington and Palm Beach County. We are prepared to meet the challenges of our growing community. The activities of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce are many, and address a diverse range of needs and interests. Whether you are a member of the Chamber or a newcomer to our community, we hope you will take time to review this Web site, or our searchable directory, and make it your guide for doing business with members.

Who we are… What we do…

The Wellington Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1996, one year after the Village of Wellington itself. It was founded by a group of local business people led by local jeweler, Jack Van Dell. Mr. Van Dell became the Chamber’s first president. Our current President is Michael Stone.

The main reason the Wellington Chamber formed was to focus on what makes Wellington unique from surrounding communities by emphasizing the differences to bring a competitive advantage to Wellington merchants, and to protect those differences for all residents. In fact, it was a return to the idea that chambers of commerce best serve their communities when they are local and when they do not try to be all things to all people. It was also felt that local chambers must look to the betterment of their communities in all facets of community life and not just the business aspect of the communities. The following mission statement embodies these two thoughts:

“The Wellington Chamber of Commerce is organized to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the Village of Wellington so that its residents and all areas of its business community shall prosper. All necessary means of promotion shall be provided and particular attention and emphasis shall be given to the economic, civic, commercial, cultural, industrial, security and educational interests of the village.”

This exciting publication lists Chamber members alphabetically and by business category.  It also provides up to date information about the arts and entertainment, real estate, government and the local business economy.  It truly is a reflection of the quality of life we enjoy.

Recent and Upcoming Events and Opportunities

  • MAP of WELLINGTON – Opportunity for Wellington Chamber of Commerce members to advertise their business through this effective and innovative coveted map of area!
  • Monthly Membership Luncheons – Key note speakers focused on issues most pertinent to Wellington, our business community as well as state and national issues affecting us all. Our monthly luncheons are also a great networking opportunity.
  • Member Mixers – Fun and Exciting Themes and Venues- bring lots of business cards.
  • Flavors of Wellington – Wellington’s one of a kind gourmet tasting event! Over 800 people attended this event on April 8th held at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. Twenty-five plus of Wellington’s finest dining establishments offered up their most tasty samplings. This tasting event is honored as the Wellington Chamber of Commerce’s “Signature Event” and takes place annually.  Attendees enjoy an upscale and exclusive evening of dining, dancing , an equestrian show jumping exhibition and more!
  • WinterFest with Vanilla Ice 2010 –  Business Expo, Community Festival- Chamber businesses were able to connect with the dynamic Wellington community. Over 5000 people attended.  Each year promises to be bigger and better!! December 2011.
  • Wellington Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase – Held December 2008 at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. Chamber businesses are able to connect with the dynamic Wellington equestrian community. Each year promises to be bigger and better!!

  •  Business Excellence Awards – Unique acknowledgment and luncheon to honor outstanding community leaders of Wellington.   This year we have the pleasure of announcing Phelps Media Group as our Business Excellence Award Recipient and The Wellness Experience of Wellington as Best Emerging Business!
  • MEDICAL AND WELLNESS FESTIVAL-  Held June 19th, 2010. Over 65 vendors participated in this inaugural event! 2011 Date to be announced!
  • PRESIDENT’S CIRCLE – An exclusive trustee level of the Chamber. Circle Members receive enhanced benefits and unique social and professional networking opportunities.
